Santa Lucia LFR @ Joe’s Apt Jan 24th
Hibernation (from Latin: hībernus, of winter) Known as the ‘smart heart’, is characterized by a persistent mechanism to reduce the feeling of solitude, a suppressed metabolic state and common survival strategy. Every living animal on Earth is burning energy all the time. Physical activities like walking and breathing burn energy. Pumping blood and digesting food burns energy. Even thinking burns energy.
For warm-blooded animals like us a lot of energy is burned by dancing to a nice beat like the one Santa Lucia LFR will give you this Jan 24th at Joe’s Apt. Show starts @ 8:15pm
There are many winter survival strategies in the animal world, and one of the most fascinating is when we keep our bodies together to reach our temperature where we need it.. Some animals enter a state of “suspended animation.”
Others experience an unusual social improvement enriching the quality of life and social survival while dancing. But don’t wait until cold conditions improve ruining your social environment, Santa Lucia LFR will play some of the super-dancing anthems from their 3rd album Supressed Anthems to improve your metabolism. Come and support the band that’s keeping the Latin Rock scene alive in on the West Coast of Canada. They will be signing cd’s and merch at the end of the show.
